Public beta
Try MAHJ before it's in the App Store.
MAHJ is in a free public beta through TestFlight, Apple's app for trying apps before they're released. Installing it takes a couple of minutes on your iPhone or iPad.
Open the link on the iPhone or iPad you want to install MAHJ on.
What you need
- An iPhone or iPad running iOS 17 or later.
- The free TestFlight app from the App Store, signed in with your Apple Account.
Install it
- Get TestFlight. On your iPhone or iPad, install TestFlight from the App Store. It's free and made by Apple.
- Open the beta link on the same device: testflight.apple.com/join/xrEwUk81.
- Tap View in TestFlight. The link opens MAHJ inside the TestFlight app.
- Tap Accept, then Install. MAHJ downloads like any other app.
- Open MAHJ from your Home Screen or from TestFlight. It opens on a made-up sample card so you can look around and try a practice game. When you're ready, add the card you own from Settings → New card. The support page walks through it.
Updates
New beta builds appear in TestFlight. To get them without thinking about it, open TestFlight, choose MAHJ, and turn on Automatic Updates. Each beta build works for 90 days, so if MAHJ ever says the beta has expired, install the latest build from TestFlight.
Sending feedback
Beta feedback is the whole point, and screenshots help most. Take a screenshot while you're using MAHJ, and TestFlight offers to send it as beta feedback. You can also open TestFlight, choose MAHJ, and tap Send Beta Feedback. Or email support@bonadonna.net.
If something goes wrong
- "This beta is full" means the public beta has reached its tester limit. Check back later.
- "This beta isn't accepting any new testers" means joining is paused for now. Check back later.
- The link does nothing on a computer. Open it on your iPhone or iPad instead.
- You want to stop testing. Open TestFlight, choose MAHJ, and tap Stop Testing. You can delete the app like any other.
Your data
The beta works the same way the app will: nothing you enter leaves your device, and there's nothing to sign in to. Details are in the privacy policy.
